The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a mission-oriented, Bible-based, confessional Christian denomination headquartered in St. Louis, MO, founded on the teachings of Martin Luther. Today, the LCMS has more than 2.3 million baptized members in some 6,200 congregations and more than 9,000 pastors. Indiana District

The Indiana District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is one of the 35 districts into which the LCMS is divided. It consists of member congregations from the entire state of Indiana and 37 counties in Kentucky. The administrative offices are located in Fort Wayne, IN. Hands of Mercy (HOM) is a Christian outreach to people with disabilities in South Sudan. A mission headed by Deaconess Pat Nuffer, HOM reaches out to those who have been marginalized in their community because of disabilities, ministers to them with the love of Christ, and gives them marketable skills to sustain and improve their lives.
